LEDC has continued its work on the development of the South Laramie Trans-Modal Rail Project. As a Partner in Progress, we want to keep you informed with how the project has progressed over the past couple of weeks and ask for your support at an upcoming meeting.
Last week, LEDC received support from the Albany County Commissioners and approval of a Resolution in support of the WYDOT Industrial Roads Program Grant.
On Wednesday, August 11th at 7:00 PM the Albany County Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing for LEDC's request for rezoning. The meeting will be held in room 105 in the County Courthouse. LEDC is first on the agenda and we hope you will take the time to attend and show support for this valuable project.

Project Updates
- July 27th - Received proposals for Survey/Engineering & Soil Borings and awarded project to a local business, DOWL HKM.
- August 2nd - Received notice that the new LLC was approved by Wyoming Secretary of State.
- August 2nd - Received notice that Union Pacific Rail Road (UPRR) approved the 10% Access Plan for the trans-modal site.
- August 3rd - Received support from Albany County Commissioners and approval of a Resolution in support of WYDOT Industrial Roads Program Grant for $400,000.
- August 3rd - Received Letter of Support from Cheyenne LEADS.
- August 4th - Met with prospective business to discuss intended use and access of rail site for potential Laramie-based business.
- August 4th -Submitted UPRR Lease Application - lease start date February 2011.
- August 6th - Met with adjacent land owners to discuss project.
