A Time for Celebration, Recognition and Transition
LEDC extends a heartfelt thank you to all who attended its 2012 Annual Dinner at the Hilton Garden Inn on Thursday, May 24th!
This annual event is dedicated to celebrating LEDC's achievements, honoring LEDC's Partners in Progress; introducing new Officers and Board members; and recognizing the Laramie and Albany County business community.
Joseph E. Sharkey, Vice President and Principal of TMNG Global and a Telecommunications and Data Center Industry Consulting Expert, was the evening's guest speaker. His presentation, titled "Fiber Primer: So Much, But So Little Access" identified 9 East/West and 1 Regional long haul fiber optics routes running through the Laramie area. SNAPIT Findings Review Scheduled May 11, 2012
SNAPIT is a unique industry partnership created with the support of the Laramie Economic Development Corporation (LEDC) through an Industries Partnership Solutions (IPS) Grant awarded by the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services and Wyoming's Workforce Development Council. This organization was originally created to identify common workforce challenges among technology-based businesses within the region surrounding Laramie. To accomplish this initiative, SNAPIT (Solutions Networking Applied to People in Technology) conducted a comprehensive survey with 30 Laramie technology companies.
