Laramie Businesses

LEDC understands the importance of retaining and expanding existing businesses as well encouraging the entrepreneurial environment.  To support these efforts, the following strategies are in place:

• Continue local business visitation program and provide information on programs that will assist them in growing their companies
• Complete the Synchronist Survey program and analyze the results for community wide action steps to resolve issues
• Continue to host an Annual Industry Appreciation event
• Identify burdensome trends hindering existing business' ability to thrive and other local business needs
• Work to ensure appropriate infrastructure to accommodate growth
• Pro-business advocacy with legislation and regulatory concerns
• Work with start-up companies to identify their market and long-term funding
• Ensure education and training opportunities are available for small and start-up companies
• Encourage technology transfer and entrepreneurial research at the University of Wyoming
• Work closely with the Wyoming Business Technology Center
