The City of Laramie operates under the Council/Manager form of government. City Council consists of nine members who serve overlapping four-year terms. There are now two at-large Council seats and seven seats to be elected from wards; one from each ward. The mayor and the vice-mayor are selected by the Council every two years at the first Council meeting in January.  For more information click here.
